Croatia name 15-man squad for World Championships in Singapore

The Croatian national team will travel to Hong Kong for the final phase of their preparations for the World Championships in Singapore.

Head coach Ivica Tucak has announced the 15 players who will represent Croatia at the tournament.

Compared to the team that won Olympic silver, two players are absent – veteran Maro Jokovic, who returned to the national team solely for the Paris Olympics, and Jadran’s captain Jerko Marinić Kragić, who has undergone surgery.

Tin Brubnjak (Primorje) is set to make his World Championships debut.

The squad closely resembles the team that won gold at the World Championships in Doha. Only Brubnjak, goalkeeper Toni Popadić, and Luka Bukić were not part of the title-winning side. Popadić and Bukić missed the 2024 tournament due to surgeries.

In total, twelve players from the gold-medal squad will feature in Singapore as Croatia looks to defend their world title.
