Montenegrin water polo legend Darko Brguljan has signed with PVK Budućnost ONE, marking a significant homecoming in what is expected to be the final chapter of a distinguished playing career.
The veteran, who spent last season with CN Posillipo in Italy, returns to Montenegro after more than a decade abroad. Brguljan, 39, brings with him a wealth of experience from top clubs and international competition, having previously played for Primorac, Budva, Waspo Hannover, Canottieri Napoli, and most recently Posillipo.
“Today is a proud day for our club,” said the club’s president in an official announcement. “Darko is one of the greatest names in Montenegrin water polo. His presence will provide invaluable experience, leadership, and motivation to our young players.”
A long-time stalwart of the Montenegrin national team, Brguljan is a European silver medalist and a regular fixture at the Olympic Games, World Championships, and World Leagues.
