The road to continental glory for women’s clubs is officially mapped out following the draw for the 2025/26 European Aquatics Women’s Champions League and Women’s Euro Cup. The season will begin with the Champions League qualification tournaments in early September, followed by the Euro Cup qualifiers later in the month.
A Legacy of Europe’s Elite
First held in 1987 as the LEN European Cup, the Women’s Champions League is the premier competition for European water polo clubs. Over the decades, it has evolved through several formats and names, from the Champions Cup to the Euro League Women, before adopting its current title under European Aquatics in 2024.
Italian powerhouse Ekipe Orizzonte holds the record with eight titles, while reigning champions Sant Andreu lifted their first crown in 2025. This year’s competition once again gathers the continent’s best, including giants like Olympiacos, Sabadell, and FTC, as well as rising contenders from across Europe.
