FTC-Telekom took a 1-0 lead in the Hungarian Women’s OB I Championship final with a commanding 11-7 victory over UVSE. Led by goalkeeper Boglárka Neszmély, Fradi’s solid defense shut down UVSE’s extra-player chances, limiting them to just 4 goals from 17 power plays. After leading 8-6, FTC pulled away with a 3-0 run in the final quarter to seal the win.
UVSE started strong, going 2-0 ahead early, but Fradi responded quickly with goals from Dóra Leimeter and Vanda Vályi. Despite some missed penalties and extra-player chances on both sides, FTC maintained composure, punishing UVSE’s turnovers and missed shots. Fekete Flóra led the scoring, capitalizing on fast breaks and key opportunities.
In the bronze medal match, One Eger stunned Dunaújváros with an 8-6 away win. Eger took early control, leading 5-1 with goals from Dóra Czigány and Rebecca Parkes. Although DVSE fought back to narrow the gap, Eger’s late goals from Leticia Belorio and Ilina Borsi kept them ahead. Eger now holds the advantage heading into the second match.
