Marseille eyeing another Hungarian star?

If recent transfer rumors hold any weight, Marseille could soon strengthen their already notable Hungarian connection. While nothing is confirmed, it’s possible—but perhaps not hugely likely—that Ferencvaros’ Adam Nagy might become the next Hungarian talent to join the French powerhouse.

Marseille’s affection for Hungarian players is not new. Two seasons ago, the club secured signings of Krisztián Manhercz and Dániel Angyal—the latter still a key figure at the French club. Adam Nagy, the 26-year-old Ferencvaros player, is now rumored as their potential next addition.

Nagy arrived at Ferencvaros in 2022 after stints with Hungarian top clubs UVSE, OSC, and Szolnok. His resume boasts impressive club achievements, notably securing the Champions League title and European Super Cup with Ferencvaros last year, as well as lifting the Euro Cup with Szolnok in 2021.

On the international stage, Nagy has been equally successful. He earned his first major accolade with Hungary’s senior national team in 2018, claiming gold at the World Cup. His medal collection further includes a gold from the 2023 World Championships, a silver from the 2022 European Championships, and most recently, a bronze medal at the 2025 World Cup.

While the move to Marseille remains speculative, one thing is clear: Nagy’s addition would undoubtedly bolster the club’s ambitions, continuing their successful Hungarian connection.
