The Water Polo Federation of Serbia has announced that Miloš Bradić will take over as the new head coach of the Serbian women’s water polo team.
Bradić, an experienced coach, is returning to Serbia after nine years abroad. The federation also expressed gratitude to Dragana Ivković – the departing coach – for her dedication and contributions over the past six and a half years as head coach of the women’s national team.
Bradić has an extensive coaching history in Serbia, having led the senior teams of Taš 2000 and Red Star. His international experience began in 2016 when he moved to Israel after serving as an assistant coach for the Serbian national team at the European Championship in Belgrade. Over the past nine years, he has worked with both the men’s and women’s national teams in Israel, leaving a significant mark on the country’s water polo scene.
His tenure in Israel concluded on a high note, as he recently led Hapoel Yokneam to victory in the Israel Cup just over a week ago. Under his guidance alongside head coach Dimitrios Mavrotas, the Israeli women’s national team made significant strides, achieving a sixth-place finish at the 2022 European Championship in Split and securing ninth place at the 2024 European Championship in Eindhoven.
Bradić now returns to Serbia with the goal of leading the women’s national team to success at the upcoming European Championship, which will be hosted in Belgrade next year. With his wealth of experience and a strong track record, Serbian water polo fans will be eager to see how he shapes the team for this important competition.
