Primorac Kotor have officially completed the signing of Serbian Olympic champion Nemanja Ubovic ahead of the new season.
The 2026 VRL League runners-up confirmed the arrival of the experienced 35-year-old centre-forward, who moves to Montenegro following his spell with Vouliagmeni.
Ubovic brings significant experience from some of Europe’s leading leagues, having represented Beograd, Vojvodina, Barceloneta, Brescia, OSC Budapest, Sabadell, Ferencvaros and Vouliagmeni during his career.
He won the Champions League and European Super Cup with Barceloneta in 2014 before lifting the Euro Cup with Brescia two years later. Ubovic has also collected domestic trophies in Spain and Hungary.
At international level, he was part of the Serbian team that won Olympic gold at the Paris Games. He has also secured several medals with Serbia at senior and junior level.
Ubovic will replace his Olympic teammate Nemanja Vico, who has left Primorac to join Georgian side A-Polo Sport Management. His departure created a major opening at centre-forward, with Primorac turning to another experienced Serbian international.
Vouliagmeni have already moved to replace Ubovic, bringing Vladan Spaic into their squad.
The signing forms part of a significant summer rebuild in Kotor. Vido Lompar, who has worked within the club for several years, has replaced Athanasios Kechagias as head coach.
Primorac have confirmed three new players so far. Alongside Ubovic, goalkeeper Aleksandro Kralj has arrived from EVK Zaibas, while Dusan Banicevic has joined from Panathinaikos. Further additions are expected to be announced.
Eight players have departed the club. Goalkeeper Dimitrije Risticevic has joined Panionios, while Marko Mrsic, Savo Cetkovic and Djordjije Stanojevic have moved to Budva.
Luka Murisic has signed for Jadran Herceg Novi, while Stefan Vidovic and Nikola Brkic have both joined Buducnost.
After finishing second in the VRL League last season, Primorac will hope Ubovic’s experience, physical presence and winning mentality can help the club take another step forward.
