Spain has named a star-studded women’s roster for the upcoming World Aquatics Championships in Singapore (11–24 July), with head coach Jordi Valls selecting a group that blends Olympic pedigree, domestic dominance, and international experience.
The reigning Olympic champions will arrive in Singapore as one of the favourites to retain their global crown. Nine of the 14 selected players come from CN Sant Andreu and CN Sabadell, two clubs that have shaped the national team’s identity in recent seasons.

Bea Ortiz, Paula Leitón and Irene González—key players in Spain’s Paris 2024 success—are all included. Sant Andreu’s Elena Ruiz and Martina Terré provide continuity in goal and attack, while Anni Espar (CE Mediterrani) returns for what could be her final appearance at a senior world event.
Young talents such as Carlota Peñalver (CE Mediterrani) and Daniela Moreno (Zodiac CNAB) offer additional depth, with Mariona Terré (CN Mataró) and Paula Prats (CN Terrassa) also keeping their places from recent international outings.
Spain have been drawn into Group D, alongside Great Britain, South Africa and France.
