Vouliagmeni have completed one of the most significant transfers of the summer, announcing the return of Greek international Nikoleta Eleftheriadou to competitive water polo.
The 28-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Athens club and will resume her career after spending two seasons away from the sport.
Eleftheriadou established herself as one of the leading players of her generation during a trophy-laden spell with Olympiacos. The versatile perimeter player won two Champions League titles, three LEN Super Cups, nine Greek championships and five Greek Cups with the Piraeus club.
Her arrival represents a major addition for head coach Kostas Hatzidakis as Vouliagmeni look to strengthen their challenge for domestic and European honours.
Eleftheriadou also enjoyed considerable success with the Greek national team. She represented her country at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and helped Greece win silver at the 2018 European Championships and bronze at the 2024 edition.
She was also part of the Greek side that finished fourth at the World Championships, narrowly missing out on another major international medal.

The transfer also marks an important personal chapter for Eleftheriadou, who stepped away from active competition following the Paris Olympics. Her decision to return provides Vouliagmeni with a player of proven quality, leadership and experience at the highest level.
With Eleftheriadou now added to the squad, Vouliagmeni have made a clear statement of intent ahead of the new campaign.
