Budva claimed the most dramatic win of the second round of the Premier VRL League, beating Partizan after a penalty shootout, while Radnicki and Novi Beograd both maintained their perfect starts to the season.
Partizan led for much of the contest in Budva, but the hosts fought back from 8-5 down in the third quarter and eventually forced penalties at 13-13.
Budva had briefly moved ahead late in the third period after a strong 6-1 run, but Partizan responded in the final quarter to level the match again. Neither side could find a winner in the closing seconds.
Goalkeeper Dragoljub Cetkovic then proved decisive in the shootout, making two saves as Budva won 17-14 overall. Savo Cetkovic and Marko Mrsic scored four goals each for the hosts, while Andrej Durutovic also finished with four for Partizan.
Novi Beograd also collected three points with a 15-12 away victory over Primorac.
The Serbian side made an excellent start and led 4-0 after seven minutes before stretching the advantage to 8-2 late in the second quarter.
Primorac responded with four unanswered goals either side of half-time and repeatedly reduced the deficit to two, but Novi Beograd remained in control. Vasilije Martinovic scored five goals, while Luka Bajic added four.
Defending champions Radnicki were made to work early against Sabac in Kragujevac.
Sabac led 5-3 after the opening quarter and extended the advantage to 6-3 at the start of the second, but Radnicki quickly turned the game around.
Andrija Prlainovic and Strahinja Rasovic scored twice each during the comeback before Radnicki pulled away after half-time. Sabac failed to score during the final 14 minutes as the hosts completed a 19-10 victory.
Rasovic led Radnicki with five goals, while Prlainovic scored four.
Elsewhere, Valis defeated Nais 18-10 after pulling away in the second half, while Jadran Herceg Novi and Buducnost recorded comfortable victories.
Jadran dominated Vojvodina 25-5, having already built an 18-1 advantage by half-time, while Buducnost defeated Zemun 18-6.
After two rounds, Radnicki, Jadran Herceg Novi and Novi Beograd all remain on maximum points, with Radnicki leading the standings on goal difference.
