BVSC confirm Batizi and Shushiasvili signings, Announce squad changes for 2025/26

BVSC-Zugló have confirmed the arrivals of Benedek Batizi and Nika Shushiasvili as part of their plans for the 2025/26 season, while also announcing several squad changes.

Batizi, a centre-forward and Hungarian national team player, returns to his boyhood club after two seasons at Vasas. Head coach Dániel Varga praised the 23-year-old’s decision to come back, calling him a key piece for the team’s future. Joining him is Georgian international Nika Shushiasvili, a dynamic left-hander who scored eight goals against BVSC last season with Primorac Kotor in the Euro Cup.

In terms of departures, Ákos Konarik is the only confirmed exit from the men’s squad, which will otherwise remain intact heading into next season.

BVSC have also promoted two promising talents from their academy: Benedek Mór and Simon Balázs. Varga described the young duo as “players for the present and the future,” underlining the club’s commitment to developing homegrown talent.

Women’s team news

Major changes have taken place in the women’s team ahead of the new season. The arrival of new head coach Gergely Béres marks the beginning of a fresh chapter, with a strong focus on long-term development and performance. The squad has also been significantly reinforced with several new signings: Fanni Muzsnay returns from the United States, Tünde Schmuck joins from KSI, Zoé Lendvay arrives from UVSE, and Dorina Dobi makes the move from the Dunaujvaros. In addition, promising youth talents Laura Nagy, Emma Kiss, and Orsolya Horváth have been promoted from the club’s own development system, highlighting BVSC’s continued commitment to nurturing homegrown talent.
