CE Mediterrani strengthens women’s first team with Anna Pearson and Emma Lineback

The two American players, developed through UCLA’s prestigious water polo program, will bring talent and international experience to the Barcelona-based side.

CE Mediterrani has continued shaping its roster for the upcoming season with the announcement of two new additions to its women’s first-team squad: Anna Pearson and Emma Lineback.

Both players arrive from the United States after developing their careers through the highly competitive collegiate system at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), one of the most successful and respected programs in American women’s water polo. Their arrival adds quality, depth, and international experience to the Barcelona club’s roster.

Pearson and Lineback are expected to strengthen several areas of the team’s play as Mediterrani looks to build on its ambitions for the new campaign. The club continues to balance homegrown talent with international recruits, and the addition of two athletes from one of the world’s strongest collegiate competitions reflects that commitment.

For the American duo, the move also presents an opportunity to continue their development in one of Europe’s most demanding water polo environments. The Spanish league has established itself as one of the premier destinations in the sport, attracting top talent from around the world and offering a high level of competition week after week.

The club has warmly welcomed both players, who now become part of the Medi family and are set to begin an exciting new chapter in their careers in Spain.

With the arrivals of Anna Pearson and Emma Lineback, CE Mediterrani further strengthens its sporting project and continues building an ambitious squad for the season ahead.
