Novi Beograd took control in the second quarter, leading 7–4 at halftime thanks to standout performances from Vasilije Martinovic, who netted five goals in total. Despite a spirited comeback from Oradea that narrowed the gap to 11–10 with just under five minutes to play, Martinovic’s fifth goal sealed the win for the Serbs.

Meanwhile, Steaua capitalized on Oradea’s earlier defeat, keeping their qualification hopes alive with a solid win over Waspo in Hannover. Despite missing several man-up opportunities in the second period, Steaua found their rhythm with Francesco Iudean and Tudor-Andrei Fulea leading the charge to secure a 12–9 victory.
