Conference Cup Women: All eight teams confirmed after thrilling final day of qualifiers

The final day of the 2025/26 Conference Cup Women qualification round delivered high drama across Europe, as the last three remaining places for the next stage were secured.

On Sunday, SV Blau Weiss Bochum outlasted Goztepe 15–12, CSM Unirea Alba Iulia defeated Jadran Split with a last-second winner, and ASD Brizz Nuoto dominated Fluvial Portuense to complete the list of eight teams advancing to Wednesday’s Qualification Round II draw.

Group A – Cottonera, Malta

Bochum 15–12 Goztepe
San Giljan 3–31 Sant Feliu

Bochum and Goztepe played the day’s first decisive qualification match. The Germans overturned a two-goal deficit, produced a 4–0 surge to break the game open, and held the Turks scoreless in the fourth quarter to seal progression. Group winners Sant Feliu wrapped up their campaign with a huge win over hosts San Giljan.

Standings: 1. Sant Feliu 9pts, 2. Bochum 6pts, 3. Goztepe 3pts, 4. San Giljan 0pts

Group B – Alba Iulia, Romania

Cosenza 16–3 Crvena Zvezda
Alba Iulia 11–10 Jadran Split

The hosts produced the moment of the round. After trailing 3–5 at half-time and falling into a long scoring drought, Alba Iulia battled back before Yanisbel Lopez scored a buzzer-beating winner from a woman-up to send the Romanian side through. First-placed Cosenza closed out the group with a routine victory.

Standings: 1. Cosenza 9pts, 2. Alba Iulia 6pts, 3. Jadran Split 3pts, 4. Crvena Zvezda 0pts

Group C – Catania, Italy

Fluvial Portuense 6–20 Brizz Nuoto
Tenerife Echeyde 17–3 Dalton Koleji

Brizz Nuoto wasted no time securing second place, racing to a 0–3 lead and then overwhelming Fluvial Portuense with a dominant defensive and counterattacking display. Tenerife, who had already topped the group, claimed another comfortable win earlier in the day.

Standings: 1. Tenerife 9pts, 2. Brizz Nuoto 6pts, 3. Fluvial Portuense 3pts, 4. Koleji 0pts

Group D – Cottonera, Malta

Sirens 2–17 ZVL-1886
PAOK 21–12 Chania

With both PAOK and Chania already qualified, the Greek head-to-head decided top spot. PAOK’s early 4–0 run put them in full control, and they maintained a safe cushion throughout. ZVL-1886 defeated hosts Sirens to take third place.

Standings: 1. PAOK 9pts, 2. Chania 5pts, 3. ZVL-1886 4pts, 4. Sirens 0pts
