Double Reinforcement? Posillipo linked with Maksimovic and Radović

Italian side Posillipo are reportedly close to securing the signings of Australian Olympian Milos Maksimovic and Montenegrin defender Danilo Radović, according to multiple sources.

Milos Maksimovic: From Galatasaray to Naples

Milos Maksimovic, 31, has had a diverse career, beginning in Serbia before moving to Australia in 2022. He played for the ACU Cronulla Sharks in the Australian Water Polo League. After gaining Australian citizenship, Maksimovic debuted for the national team in 2023, and played a key role in Australia’s top-8 finish at Paris 2024.

In 2024, Maksimovic joined Turkish club Galatasaray, where he played a pivotal role in their historic Challenger Cup victory—the first European title for a Turkish men’s water polo team. His experience and versatility are expected to be valuable assets for Posillipo as they aim to strengthen their squad.

Danilo Radović: A Defensive Asset from Montenegro

Danilo Radović, 24, is a Montenegrin defender known for his strong presence in the national team. He has spent his entire professional career with PVK Jadran Herceg Novi, contributing to their successes in domestic and regional competitions.

Posillipo’s Strategic Reinforcements

The addition of Maksimovic and Radović would signify Posillipo’s commitment to strengthening their roster with seasoned international players. These strategic moves aim to enhance the team’s competitiveness in both domestic and European competitions.

While official confirmations are pending, the potential signings of Maksimovic and Radović indicate Posillipo’s ambition to return to the forefront of Italian water polo.
