The Spanish League’s 20th round was marked by high-scoring encounters and standout performances by the favorites.
Defending champions Barceloneta secured a convincing 20:13 victory against fourth-placed Terrassa in an entertaining match highlighted by attacking prowess rather than defensive solidity. Second-placed Sabadell cruised to an 18:3 victory over Real Canoe in Madrid, with Kanstantin Averka finding the net four times.
Barcelona overcame Mediterrani 15:11 on the road. A decisive scoring streak of four consecutive goals early in the second half, taking them from 6:6 to 10:6, proved crucial. Mart van der Weijden was pivotal for Barcelona, contributing four goals in the match.
Caballa provided the upset of the day, turning the tables against Mataro. After trailing 7:3 at halftime, Caballa dominated the third quarter with five unanswered goals, ultimately clinching an impressive 12:10 win.
