Jadran Split could be preparing an ambitious double signing ahead of next season, with rumours linking Yusuke Inaba and Stefan Vidovic to the Croatian club.
Yusuke Inaba, the 25-year-old Japanese international, is one of the most exciting talents in world water polo. A two-time Olympian (Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024) and MVP of the 2019 U20 World Championships, Inaba has already built an impressive résumé, with stints in Montenegro (Budva), Romania (Oradea), and Italy (Quinto, Trieste, and Ortigia). Despite reported interest from Brescia, Inaba is said to prefer leaving Italy, particularly after a disappointing season with Ortigia, who underperformed this year by finishing 8th in the regular Serie A1 season.
Joining Inaba could be 32-year-old Stefan Vidovic. The Montenegrin Olympian spent the 2024 season with Training Academy Olympic Roma, having previously played for Ortigia and Spanish side Sabadell. A World League champion in 2021 and a European silver medalist in 2020 with Montenegro, Vidovic first made his name at Jadran Herceg Novi before moving abroad.
If finalized, the moves would see both Inaba and Vidovic leave the Italian league for the Croatian top division, bolstering Jadran Split’s roster as they look to strengthen their position both domestically and in Europe.
There is no official confirmation at this stage, but these developments could signal a busy and ambitious summer for Jadran.
