Jack Larsen joins Sabadell from Pro Recco

Sabadell have confirmed the signing of American defender Jack Larsen from Italian powerhouse Pro Recco, adding another reinforcement to their roster ahead of the upcoming season.

Larsen, born on August 23, 2001, first joined Pro Recco in December 2024 after a standout collegiate career at UCLA. A physically imposing yet agile defender, he quickly gained a reputation for his intelligent positioning and strong two-meter defense, often citing Pro Recco legend Aleksandar Ivović as his role model.

During his time with the UCLA Bruins, Larsen played a central role in their 2024 NCAA Championship triumph, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in the Final Eight. Over his collegiate career, he tallied 40 goals in 2023 alone, earning All-American First Team, All-MPSF First Team, and NCAA All-Tournament First Team honours.

Internationally, Larsen has already made his mark on the senior stage. He represented Team USA at both the 2025 World Championships in Singapore and the 2025 World Cup in Otopeni, demonstrating his ability to compete at the highest level.

Sabadell’s recruitment drive shows no signs of slowing down. Larsen joins former UCLA teammate Rafa Real Vergara, as well as Italian talent Fede Panerai from Quinto, giving the Spanish side a mix of youthful energy and international experience as they aim to compete at the top level domestically and in Europe.
