Olympiacos confirm signing of Dutch goalkeeper Van Den Dobbelsteen

Olympiacos have officially completed the signing of 23-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Van Den Dobbelsteen, securing a major addition to their squad ahead of the new season.

The former ZV De Zaan shot-stopper arrives in Piraeus as a direct replacement for Mia Rycraw, who will not continue with the team.

Dobbelsteen, currently part of Evangelos Doudesis’ Dutch national team setup, boasts an impressive international résumé. She was a key member of the Netherlands squad that claimed gold at the 2024 European Championships and added a World Cup bronze medal in Chengdu, China. Most recently, she featured at the 2025 World Championships in Singapore, where the Dutch finished fifth.

She becomes Olympiacos’ second signing of the summer following the arrival of Eleni Elliniadi, as the club looks to strengthen after a challenging season.

For the first time in 12 years, Olympiacos missed out on the Greek League title in 2025. However, with a core of players fresh from winning gold with Greece at the World Championships, and the addition of a proven international goalkeeper, the Piraeus side will be determined to reclaim domestic supremacy and mount a serious challenge for the Champions League this season.
