Luka Lončar is set to return to Olympiacos after agreeing a two-year contract with the Greek giants following one season at Mladost Zagreb.
The experienced Croatian center-forward previously played for Olympiacos between 2023 and 2025, where he was an important part of the squad’s domestic and European ambitions. Now, the 39-year-old is expected to head back to Piraeus for a second spell.
Lončar began his career at Mladost before enjoying the most successful years of his club career with Jug Dubrovnik, where he won the Champions League, LEN Super Cup and multiple Regional League titles.
He later featured for Pro Recco, adding two more Champions League crowns during his time in Italy.
At international level, Lončar has been one of Croatia’s most decorated players, winning 13 medals for the national team, including Olympic silver medals at Rio 2016 and Paris 2024.
His return would add experience, leadership and elite pedigree to an Olympiacos side looking to remain among Europe’s top contenders next season.
