Slovakia centre forward Lukas Durik will continue his career with Jadran Herceg Novi after completing a move from Pro Recco.
The transfer had been expected for some time, particularly after the 33-year-old confirmed his departure from the Italian club. Jadran have now officially announced Durik as their latest signing ahead of the new season.
Durik arrives in Montenegro following two trophy-filled years with Pro Recco. During his time in Italy, he won two Serie A titles, two Italian Cups and the 2025 Euro Cup.
He was also part of the Recco side that finished as runners-up in the 2026 Champions League.
The centre forward has represented Slovakia at international level for the past decade and brings significant experience to a Jadran squad undergoing major changes this summer.
Before joining Pro Recco, Durik played for several European clubs, including Debrecen in Hungary and Tourcoing in France. He was among Tourcoing’s leading scorers during both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.
Durik becomes Jadran’s fifth confirmed arrival of the summer. The club have also signed Danilo Radovic from Posillipo, Aleksa Ukropina and Dusan Trtovic from Novi Beograd, and Luka Murisic from Primorac.
However, there has also been a significant number of departures from Herceg Novi.
Vasilije Radovic has joined Marseille, Djordje Lazic has moved to Panionios and Dmitri Kholod has signed for Oradea. Fran Valera has left for Sabadell, Jovan Vujovic has joined Spandau 04 and Matija Sladovic has moved to Apollon.
Goalkeeper Ilija Radovic has also departed for Buducnost.
Jadran may not have finished their recruitment with the arrival of Durik, as the Montenegrin club continue rebuilding their squad ahead of the new campaign.
