Nika Shushiashvili will return to Novi Beograd following the end of his time with Hungarian side BVSC.
The 27-year-old Georgian international spent one season in Budapest after joining BVSC from Primorac Kotor last summer.
Shushiashvili made 23 appearances in the Hungarian league during the 2025/26 campaign, scoring 36 goals. He also contributed four goals in four Hungarian Cup matches.
The move marks a return to familiar surroundings for the left-handed attacker, who previously represented Novi Beograd between 2020 and 2023.
Shushiashvili was part of the Serbian club’s rise towards the top of European water polo before leaving Belgrade for Apollon Smyrnis. He later spent a season with Primorac before moving to Hungary.
His career has also included spells with Dinamo Tbilisi and Spandau 04, giving him experience across several of Europe’s strongest national leagues.
Shushiashvili remains an important player for the Georgian national team and represented his country at the 2026 European Championships in Belgrade.
His arrival provides Novi Beograd with another experienced left-handed option as the Serbian club continues building its squad for the 2026/27 season.
