Montenegro confirm squad for Singapore – Savic names 15-man team

Dejan Savić has announced Montenegro’s 15-man roster for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, with a strong and settled group of players selected to represent the “Ajkule” (Sharks).

Montenegro will compete in Group D, where they will face Greece, Croatia, and China in the group stage. Their first match is a tough opener against Greece on 12 July.

The squad features a blend of experienced internationals and younger talents. Key figures such as Đuro Radović, Petar Tešanović, and Miroslav Perković return to lead the team, while Dmitrii Kholod, who has become a fixture in the side, is also included. The versatile Filip Gardašević and the powerful Dušan Matković offer further attacking options for Savic’s team.

Savić will be supported in Singapore by assistant coaches Nenad Vukanić and Edward Bonello, as well as a full backroom team including former captain Mlađan Janović, who serves as team manager.

Only the group winner advances directly to the quarter-finals. The second- and third-placed teams will face opponents from Group C (USA, Brazil, Canada, Singapore) in the crossover round.
