Panathinaikos are reportedly closing in on another major signing, with Italian international Vincenzo Dolce linked with a move from AN Brescia to the Greek giants.
According to reports in Greece, the 31-year-old is close to joining Panathinaikos as the club continues to strengthen ahead of next season. Many publications have reported that Dolce is among the names targeted by the Greens, with some outlets suggesting an agreement is already in place.
Dolce, who has played for Brescia since 2020, would represent a significant addition for Panathinaikos. The Italian brings experience at both club and international level, having been part of Italy’s national team setup and having competed at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Dolce is a player who can offer important solutions defensively, while also providing another reliable option through the central axis of the perimeter line. That versatility appears to be a key part of Panathinaikos’ interest as they look to build a squad capable of competing more seriously with Olympiacos domestically and in Europe.
His potential arrival would follow a breakthrough season for Panathinaikos, who returned to the Greek Water Polo League finals and have already been linked with several reinforcements such as Stathis Kalogeropoulos and Dimitris Nikolaidis.
If completed, Dolce’s move would underline Panathinaikos’ ambition to close the gap at the top of Greek water polo and build a deeper, more experienced squad for the 2026/27 season.
No official announcement has yet been made by Panathinaikos or Brescia.
