Pro Recco Brings World-Class Water Polo to the US Northeast with 2025 World Tour

New York, August 12, 2025 – Pro Recco, the most decorated club in water polo history, will make waves across the northeastern United States this summer, bringing their international stars and championship pedigree to American pools for an exclusive preseason showcase.

The Pro Recco 2025 World Tour runs from August 28 to September 8, featuring four high-level matches in New York City and Princeton, New Jersey. The tour aims to prepare the Italian champions for the new season, inspire the next generation of players, and spotlight Pro Recco’s 2025–2026 apparel collection.

“This is more than competition,” said head coach Sandro Sukno, 2012 Olympic gold medalist. “It’s about inspiring young American athletes and showing that elite water polo belongs on the US stage.”

Building Bridges Across the Atlantic

Pro Recco president Maurizio Felugo called the US tour “a natural step in a journey to inspire young fans and take water polo where it has never gone before.” The club has strengthened ties with the US in recent years, from training in California to signing American stars like Ben Hallock and now Max Irving.

Felugo added: “We want to give American water polo fans the opportunity to witness some of the world’s top players in action, while supporting the sport’s growth ahead of LA 2028.”
