Pro Recco Forces Decider in Scudetto Showdown After Beating Brescia 13–10

The 2025 Italian League title will be decided in a winner-takes-all Game 3 after Pro Recco defeated Brescia 13–10 in a high-stakes encounter this evening, leveling the playoff final series at 1–1. The decisive match will be held on Tuesday in Brescia.

Playing in front of a packed home crowd, Recco weathered early pressure from their rivals before seizing control in the middle quarters. The visitors from Brescia were lively in the opening stages, taking a one-goal lead on three occasions in the first period. However, Recco matched them each time, with Aaron Younger’s penalty in the 11th minute giving the hosts their first lead of the game at 4–3. A swift reply from Vincenzo Dolce from the penalty spot brought the match level once more, but Recco managed to establish a 6–4 advantage before the break thanks to Giacomo Cannella’s goal in the 15th minute. Still, Brescia remained in touch with a last-gasp goal from Andrea Faraglia narrowing the gap to 6–5 at halftime.

Recco turned up the pressure in the third period, storming out with four unanswered goals to break the game open. Cannella completed his hat-trick as Recco surged to a commanding 10–5 lead. Although Brescia responded through two quick goals from Lorenzo Balzarini, the damage from the 0–4 run proved decisive.

Heading into the final quarter with an 11–8 lead, Recco faced a setback with Francesco Di Fulvio being ejected just seconds before the last break. Tempers continued to flare, and Balzarini was also red-carded within the first half-minute of the fourth quarter. Gianmarco Nicosia’s team capitalized on the man-up, with Luca Condemi restoring a four-goal cushion. Brescia showed spirit to close the gap to 10–13, but Recco kept their composure to see out the win.
