Sabadell’s summer rebuild continues to gather momentum, with rising Spanish star Isabel Piralkova Coello set to join the club ahead of the 2025/26 water polo season. While an official announcement is still pending, the move is widely considered a formality.
At just 19 years old, Piralkova already boasts a résumé that many players spend a career building. Despite making her international debut only in January 2024, she has quickly established herself as one of the brightest young talents in European women’s water polo, playing a pivotal role in Spain’s gold medal triumph at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Her international breakthrough in 2024 was nothing short of spectacular. Piralkova competed in three major tournaments within a single year: the European Championships in Eindhoven, the World Championships in Doha, and the Olympic Games in Paris, where she helped Spain defeat Australia 11–9 in a memorable final.
At club level, Piralkova began her senior career with CN Mataró, followed by a season with CN Atlètic-Barceloneta. This season, she featured for CN Terrassa in the Spanish League.
Sabadell’s Big Summer of Transfers
Piralkova is the latest name in what is shaping up to be a major squad overhaul at Astralpool CN Sabadell. After a difficult season that saw the club fall short both domestically and in Champions League competition, Sabadell are wasting no time in reinforcing their roster.
The club is reportedly close to finalizing the signing of Paula Crespí from Sant Andreu—a fellow Olympic gold medalist, 2025 Champions League winner, and two-time Copa de la Reina champion. If both deals are confirmed, Sabadell’s defensive unit would feature two of the most decorated players in Spanish water polo.
Additionally, Sabadell are rumored to be in talks with Isabel Williams, the standout USA goalkeeper who won the 2024 Cutino Award and currently plays for Glyfada in Greece.
