Sabadell ushers in a new era with elite signings and legendary returns

The club strengthens its squad with Ryann Neushul, Paula Camus and Martina Terré, while welcoming back Maartje Keuning and Nona Pérez ahead of an ambitious season

Astralpool Club Natació Sabadell has taken a major step forward in shaping its sporting project with a series of high-profile signings and emotional returns that reinforce its competitive identity and ambition to remain at the top of European water polo. The club is combining international talent, youth, and homegrown identity to face a new season full of challenges.

The moves underline Sabadell’s ambition to remain among the leading forces in European women’s water polo. With a mix of international quality, Spanish Olympic experience, young talent and returning club identity, the Catalan side are building a team designed to challenge again on every front.

One of the headline arrivals is Ryann Neushul, one of the standout names in American water polo. A USA international and Paris 2024 Olympian, Neushul arrives with an outstanding record at both club and international level. She was part of Stanford’s dominant collegiate programme, winning multiple NCAA titles, and was named the 2025 USA Collegiate Player of the Year. Her arrival gives Sabadell another dynamic attacking option, bringing speed, intelligence and a strong competitive edge.

Sabadell have also added one of Spanish water polo’s most important centre-forwards in Paula Camus. The 24-year-old joins from CN Sant Andreu, where she helped the club make history in both domestic and European competition. With Spain, Camus is already an Olympic champion after winning gold at Paris 2024, as well as a World Championship silver medallist from 2023. At club level, she has won the Champions League and several Copa de la Reina titles, establishing herself as one of the strongest players in her position.

Another major reinforcement comes in goal, with Martina Terre also making the move from Sant Andreu. Widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Terre has become a decisive figure for both club and country. She was a key part of Spain’s Olympic gold medal-winning team in Paris, and has also collected World Championship and European Championship medals during a remarkable rise at international level. At club level, she helped Sant Andreu win the Champions League and multiple domestic trophies, giving Sabadell an elite presence between the posts.

Beyond the new signings, Sabadell also welcome back Maartje Keuning. The Dutch international returns after continuing her development at the highest level, both with GZC Donk and the Netherlands national team. During her previous spell at Sabadell, Keuning was part of a highly successful period for the club, helping the team win the Champions League, the European Super Cup and domestic titles. Since then, she has added further major international honours, including Olympic bronze at Paris 2024, World Championship gold and European success with the Netherlands.

The return of Nona Perez carries particular meaning. A product of Sabadell’s system, Perez comes back to the club as one of the leading players in world water polo. During her first spell, she won the Champions League, several Spanish league titles, Copas de la Reina and the Spanish Super Cup. Since leaving, her career has reached another level. She became an Olympic champion with Spain in Paris, helped Sant Andreu win the 2025 Champions League, and was named European Aquatics Women’s Water Polo Athlete of the Year in 2025.

With Neushul, Camus, Terre, Keuning and Perez, Sabadell have made one of the clearest statements of the summer. The squad now combines American pedigree, Dutch experience, Spanish Olympic quality and players with deep ties to the club.

Sabadell are entering a new chapter, but the objective remains familiar: to compete for every major trophy.
