For the first time ever, the men’s and women’s Champions League Final Fours will be staged together, bringing Europe’s elite clubs and many of the world’s best players to the iconic Tal-Qroqq Aquatic Centre from 10-13 June for four days of world-class water polo action.
The excitement is already building across both competitions. In the men’s Champions League, the Final Four lineup has now been confirmed following Matchday 5 of the Quarter Final Stage, with FTC-Telekom Waterpolo, Pro Recco, Olympiacos and Barceloneta securing their places in Malta ahead of the final round.
On the women’s side, qualification remains open heading into the decisive second-leg quarter-finals on Saturday, 16 May. Olympiacos and FTC-Telekom Waterpolo are among the favourites to qualify, while the remaining places are expected to be decided between Vouliagmeni or CN Sant Andreu, and SIS Roma or CN Mataró.
The joint Final Four marks another major milestone in the continued growth of European water polo, particularly for the women’s game, which will now share the same stage, venue and spotlight as the men’s elite clubs.

Malta has already established itself as one of water polo’s premier hosts after staging the men’s Champions League Final Four over the past two seasons. This June, the event expands even further with both competitions coming together in a unique celebration of the sport.
The women’s semi-finals will open the tournament on Wednesday, 10 June, before the men’s semi-finals take place on Thursday, 11 June. Friday, 12 June will feature the women’s bronze medal and gold medal matches, while the men’s bronze medal game and Champions League final will conclude the spectacle on Saturday, 13 June.
In addition to the Final Four fixtures, the event week will also include domestic showcase matches on Monday, 8 June, featuring Sirens Women vs Sliema Women and San Giljan Men vs Neptunes Men.
Whether new champions emerge or Europe’s established giants lift the trophies once again, Malta is preparing for one of the biggest club water polo events ever staged.
The road to Malta is entering its final stretch.
