Top 8 confirmed after drama in Piraeus and decisive Round 6 wins

The Champions League Quarter Final line-up is complete after a dramatic final round of the group stage, with Mladost, Novi Beograd and Waspo 98 Hannover claiming the last three tickets to the Top 8.

Chaos in Piraeus ends Radnicki’s hopes

Olympiacos defeated Radnicki 16:14 after a penalty shootout (11:11 in regular time), but the shootout had no impact on qualification. Radnicki needed all three points and never led.

The Greeks raced into a 4:0 advantage and controlled much of the contest. Radnicki equalised at 11:11 with 63 seconds remaining, but two late Olympiacos goals were disallowed after lengthy video reviews. The draw eliminated the Serbian champions — and confirmed Mladost’s progression.

Mladost do their job

Mladost beat Vasas 15:13 in Zagreb, building a 7:2 cushion in the second quarter and holding firm to secure second place in Group A.

Novi Beograd dominate

Novi Beograd defeated Jadran Herceg Novi 15:12 in a match effectively decided by halftime (9:3). A disciplined defensive display sealed their place in the Quarter Final Stage.

Pro Recco maintained a perfect record with a 15:13 win at Jadran Split.

Hannover qualify despite defeat

Waspo 98 Hannover fell 20:12 to Barceloneta but advanced after Marseille lost 16:13 in Sabadell.
