Women’s Champions League Final Four 2025 Preview: Olympiacos hosts Europe’s elite in Piraeus

The pinnacle of European women’s club water polo is set to unfold in Piraeus on May 2–3, as the 2025 Champions League Final Four brings together four of the continent’s top teams. Olympiacos will play host to reigning champions Astralpool CN Sabadell, bronze medallists CN Sant Andreu, and debutants FTC-Telekom Waterpolo at the historic Papastratiou Pool.

Following the success of the 2022 edition in the same venue — the first post-pandemic Final Four with fans in attendance — this year’s tournament promises a thrilling celebration of elite water polo.

Semifinal Fixtures – Friday 2 May

Olympiacos SFP (Greece) vs. Astralpool CN Sabadell (Spain)
Time: 17:30 CET
A rematch of last year’s final and a repeat of the 2022 showdown in Piraeus, this clash between two of the sport’s powerhouses will set the tone for the weekend. Olympiacos, champions in 2021 and 2022, are determined to reclaim their crown on home turf after Sabadell’s dominant 16–10 win in last year’s final in Barcelona.

CN Sant Andreu (Spain) vs. FTC-Telekom Waterpolo (Hungary)
Time: 19:30 CET
Final Four newcomers FTC-Telekom make history with their first appearance at this stage, while Sant Andreu are eyeing another podium finish after securing bronze in 2024. The Hungarians overcame Italian giants Ekipe Orizzonte in the quarterfinals, proving their credentials on the continental stage.

The winners of each semifinal will advance to the final on Saturday, 3 May at 19:30 CET. The bronze medal match will precede the final at 17:30 CET.
