All 16 teams confirmed for 2025/26 Women’s Champions League group stage

The 2025/26 Champions League Women’s main group stage line-up is complete after a thrilling final day of qualification. Drama in Glyfada, a dominant Dutch display in Dunaújváros, and resilient wins for Spanish and German sides shaped the last four tickets to Europe’s top competition.

The group stage begins Saturday, 25 October, with 16 clubs from across the continent set to battle for the title.

Group A (Glyfada): Eger’s miraculous comeback

ANC Glyfada iRepair (GRE) 12–13 ONE Eger (HUN)

ONE Eger produced one of the most dramatic turnarounds in Champions League history. Trailing 12–8 with just over five minutes to play, the Hungarians looked destined for the Euro Cup. Glyfada, who had led from the start and were 7–4 ahead at half-time, appeared in full control.

But Eger mounted a stunning late rally. Goals from Rebecca Parkes, Sienna Owen, Dorina Török, and Lili Soti dragged them level at 12–12 with little more than a minute to go. With 11 seconds left on the clock, Parkes struck again from centre-forward to complete the comeback and secure first place in the group ahead of CN Terrassa.

  • Final standings: 1. ONE Eger 5pts, 2. CN Terrassa 4pts, 3. ANC Glyfada 0pts

Group B (Berlin): Spandau too strong at home

Spandau 04 Berlin (GER) 18–12 Lille UC (FRA)

Lille entered the pool needing a six-goal win to qualify, but the hosts quickly shut down any hope of an upset. Ira Deike scored a rapid-fire hat-trick in just 77 seconds early in the second quarter, sparking an 8–2 run that put Spandau 10–4 ahead at half-time.

Though Lille narrowed the gap to 13–9 in the third period, Spandau pulled away again in the fourth, winning by six to top the group and advance.

  • Final standings: 1. Spandau 04 Berlin 6pts, 2. Alimos NAC Betsson 3pts, 3. Lille UC 0pts

Group C (Dunaújváros): ZV De Zaan crush Grand Nancy

Grand Nancy (FRA) 4–26 ZV De Zaan (NED)

With host DFVE Vizilabda already through, ZV De Zaan and Grand Nancy met in a winner-takes-all clash. The Dutch side left nothing to chance, storming to a 6–1 lead in the first quarter and producing a brutal 9–0 second period to all but end the contest by half-time.

Eleven different players found the net for De Zaan, including captain Lieke Rogge, who scored three. Last season’s Euro Cup winners marched on to the Champions League group stage in style.

  • Final standings: 1. DFVE Vizilabda 6pts, 2. ZV De Zaan 3pts, 3. Grand Nancy 0pts

Group D (Dunaújváros): Mataró withstand Trieste’s challenge

Assolim CN Mataró (ESP) 16–11 Pallanuoto Trieste (ITA)

Trieste threw everything at favourites Mataró, surging into a 4–1 first-quarter lead and later going 9–7 ahead. But missed opportunities at key moments cost the Italians dearly.

Mataró hit back through Silvia Avegno just before half-time, then launched a decisive 6–1 run across the third and early fourth quarters. Jewel Roemer and Morgan McDowall were both on target as the Spaniards sealed qualification.

Trieste, runners-up in the Euro Cup for the past two years, will return to that competition once again.

  • Final standings: 1. Assolim CN Mataró 6pts, 2. Rapallo Pallanuoto 2pts, 3. Pallanuoto Trieste 1pt
