Great Britain announce squad for World Championships in Singapore

Great Britain have named their final women’s water polo squad for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, as they prepare to face France, South Africa, and Spain in Group D.

The team features a strong core of overseas-based players, including American-born goalkeeper Cassidy Ball, team captain Kathy Rogers, and attacker Toula Falvey — all of whom play together at CN Catalunya in Spain’s top division. Also based in Spain is Annie Clapperton, a prolific scorer with Tenerife Echeyde.

Young centre-forward Amélie Perkins, now playing in Italy with Plebiscito Padova, is one of several rising stars in the squad, alongside Harriet Dickens, who has followed the US collegiate pathway with the University of Michigan. Lily Turner returns to the national team after a standout campaign in Greece with Glyfada.

This selection reflects the growing experience and ambition within British women’s water polo following a historic seventh-place finish at the 2024 European Championships and 11th in Doha at the last World Championships — their best result at a Worlds since 1986, when they placed ninth.
