CN Terrassa has confirmed the signing of Irene Casado for the 2025-26 season. The 19-year-old arrives from Astralpool CN Sabadell and is widely regarded as one of the most promising young players in Spanish water polo.
Casado trained at the Centre d’Alt Rendiment (CAR) in Sant Cugat and has been regularly called up to Spain’s youth and junior national teams. Most recently, she played a key role in Spain’s gold medal campaign at the U19 European Championships in Zagreb.
She made her senior debut in the División de Honor with Sabadell in recent seasons and has impressed with her talent, work rate, and potential.
According to Terrassa head coach Xavi Pérez, Casado will bring “versatility, energy, and commitment” to the squad—qualities that align well with the team’s ethos and ambition.
Casado becomes the fifth reinforcement for Terrassa’s women’s team this summer, following the arrivals of Paula Nieto, Miriam Ciudad, Sara Cordovani, and Panni Szegedi.
