Mataró strengthens its project with the signings of Queralt Anton and Kamilla Farago

The Mataró club adds both young talent and international experience with the arrival of promising Spanish prospect Queralt Anton from CN Sant Andreu and Hungarian international Kamilla Faragó

CN Mataró has officially announced the signing of Queralt Anton Boixadera for the 2026–2027 season. The young waterpolo player, regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Catalan and Spanish waterpolo, joins the club from CN Sant Andreu to strengthen the team’s ambitious sporting project.

Having developed through the youth systems of CN Poble Nou and later CN Sant Andreu, Anton arrives in Mataró after four seasons with Sant Andreu’s senior team, where she established herself as one of the most promising players in Spanish women’s waterpolo.

Despite her young age, the new CN Mataró recruit already boasts an impressive résumé. Her achievements include a Champions League title, a Super Champions League title, and three Queen’s Cups, alongside a successful international career with Spain’s youth national teams.

At international level, Anton has enjoyed considerable success, winning both European and World Championship titles in age-group competitions. Her outstanding performances have also earned her several MVP awards at major tournaments.

In addition, the club has announced the signing of Kamilla Faragó, a 25-year-old Hungarian international who will bring valuable experience and leadership to the Mataró project. Faragó joins from UVSE Budapest, where she served as team captain in recent seasons. After spending ten years with the historic Hungarian club, she leaves with an impressive record that includes four Hungarian league titles, two domestic cups, and one LEN Trophy, establishing herself as one of the country’s standout players.

Faragó’s arrival perfectly complements CN Mataró’s commitment to combining youth, talent, and international experience as the club continues to compete at the highest level both domestically and in Europe.

With these moves, CN Mataró continues to build an ambitious squad for the 2026–2027 season, blending present and future in its pursuit of success at the highest level.
