Radnički, BVSC, and Marseille all secured convincing first-leg victories in the Euro Cup quarter-finals, putting themselves firmly on the brink of a place in the semi-finals.
Radnički produced the standout result of the day, claiming the only away win with a composed 14:10 victory over Primorac in Kotor.
BVSC dominated Oradea 14:8 in Budapest, while Marseille earned a strong 17:12 win over Sabadell — a result that carries added significance after two earlier defeats to the Spanish side in this season’s Champions League.
The final quarter-final first leg, between Panathinaikos and Jadran Split, will be played on Thursday.
Radnički take control in Kotor
Primorac 10–14 Radnički
(2:3, 2:3, 4:5, 2:3)
Radnički continued their dominance over Primorac this season, securing a third victory and taking a valuable four-goal advantage back to Kragujevac.
The visitors had to weather an early push from the hosts, who led 2:1 midway through the opening period. However, Radnički found their rhythm late in the quarter and swung the momentum decisively with a 4:0 run, building a 5:2 lead early in the second.
A key moment came when goalkeeper Filipović saved a penalty from Mršić, one of two spot-kick saves that proved crucial in maintaining control. At halftime, Radnički led 6:4.
Primorac fought hard to stay in the contest, reducing the gap to a single goal on four occasions during the third quarter (5:6, 6:7, 7:8, 8:9). But each time, Radnički responded. Late goals from Angelos Vlachopoulos and Duško Pijetlović restored a three-goal cushion heading into the final period.
Vlachopoulos extended the lead to four (13:9) with three minutes remaining, effectively sealing the contest. Pijetlović added the final touch to cap a controlled away performance.

BVSC break Oradea after strong response
BVSC 14–8 Oradea
(2:3, 5:1, 1:1, 6:3)
BVSC turned the game on its head with a dominant second quarter to take full control against Oradea.
The visitors made the brighter start, racing into a 3:1 lead and benefiting from two penalty saves by goalkeeper Dobozanov. However, that early momentum didn’t last.
After falling behind 1:3, BVSC responded emphatically with a 4:0 run to move ahead 5:3. Although Gardasevic briefly halted the surge, the Hungarian side finished the half strongly to establish a 7:4 lead.
Oradea threatened early in the second half, reducing the deficit to 5:7, but BVSC’s defense held firm. Even as the attack slowed temporarily, the hosts never allowed the visitors back into the game.
A late surge sealed the result, with BVSC pulling away to a comfortable six-goal win.

Marseille avenge Sabadell — for now
Marseille 17–12 Sabadell
(2:3, 6:3, 3:3, 6:3)
Marseille delivered one of their most complete performances of the season to beat Sabadell and take a strong step toward the semi-finals.
The opening exchanges were tightly contested, with Sabadell edging ahead multiple times. But after falling behind 3:4, Marseille seized control with a decisive 4:0 run, turning the game in their favour.
From that point on, the French side dictated the tempo. Although Sabadell twice reduced the deficit to a single goal, Marseille consistently responded, maintaining a three-goal cushion through the middle stages.
A key moment came in the fourth quarter when Drasović extended the lead to four (16:12), before Špaic added another to seal a five-goal victory.
While the result avenges earlier defeats in the Champions League, Marseille will only complete that revenge if they finish the job in the return leg.

- Sabadell: Cabanas, Perez 3
