Vojvodina’s water polo players have claimed their fifth consecutive national championship title — and they’ve done it in truly unprecedented style.
The sheer dominance of the Novi Sad team was clear in the playoff final results, leaving no doubt as to who reigns supreme in Serbian women’s water polo.
In the first leg, held in Novi Sad, ŽVK Vojvodina crushed Crvena zvezda 22:3. The return leg in Banjica was even more emphatic, with Vojvodina running riot in a 25:1 victory. Their supremacy isn’t limited to the senior team either — the club continues to lead the way across the youth categories as well.
Led for years by the experienced Sladjana Drezgić, Vojvodina’s scorers in the second final included Radonjić (6), Amliva and Savčenko (4 each), Kavalkante and Damnjanović (3 each), Pejić (2), and Švec, Žagar, and Trmcić with one apiece. Jelenić netted the lone goal for Crvena zvezda.
Elsewhere, Palilula secured third place after defeating Spartak 16:6, while Partizan finished in fifth.
