Montenegrin side Primorac Kotor have confirmed the signing of Japanese international Yusuke Inaba from Ortigia, bolstering their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 25-year-old arrives in Kotor following an impressive campaign in the Italian Serie A1, where he ranked among the league’s top scorers. Despite reported interest from Champions League regulars Brescia and Croatian giants Jadran Split, Inaba has opted for a return to the Adriatic, choosing the historic Montenegrin club for his next challenge.
Primorac have been active in the market this summer. In addition to Inaba, the club has already secured the signing of Montenegrin international Stefan Vidović from Olympic Roma—another key piece in what is shaping up to be an ambitious project in Kotor.
Inaba’s career has been anything but conventional. Since bursting onto the international scene with a standout performance at the 2019 FINA U20 World Championships—where he was named MVP—he has accumulated a wealth of experience across Europe. His professional journey has included spells with Budva (Montenegro), Oradea (Romania), as well as Italian sides Quinto, Trieste, and most recently Ortigia.
A two-time Olympian, having represented Japan at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Games, Inaba brings not only scoring prowess but also high-level international pedigree to Primorac’s squad. His speed, creativity, and eye for goal have made him one of the most exciting Asian players in European water polo.
