The 18th round of the Hungarian League offered little in the way of surprises, as the top teams easily dispatched their rivals.
Ferencvaros, arguably the best club in the world right now, comfortably defeated Kaposvar 24:8. Gergo Fekete was the top scorer with five goals, while Vendel Vigvari and Szilard Jansik each contributed four.
Second-placed Szolnok controlled its match against Miskolc from the start, leading 7:2 at halftime. Norman Schmolcz and Gergo Kovacs each netted four goals in Szolnok’s 17:11 victory.
Vasas had a sluggish start against Debrecen, trailing 2:4 early in the second period. However, they found their rhythm, and with Benedek Batizi leading the charge with five goals, Vasas secured a dominant 17:8 win.
OSC also hit 17 goals, cruising past Pecs 17:7, while BVSC dismantled a youthful UVSE squad 21:10. Matyas Meszaros led the scoring with four goals.
Honved ended its three-game losing streak with a 16:11 win over Szentes. The Budapest-based team led throughout, though Szentes closed the gap to one goal (10:11) in the third quarter. Honved responded with four consecutive goals to seal the win. Bendeguz Ekler was the key player, scoring six goals.
In a mid-table clash, Szeged held an 11:6 lead over Eger after three quarters. Eger mounted a late comeback, cutting the deficit to 9:11 with six minutes remaining, but neither side managed to score further.
