Members of Team USA were welcomed today by the President of the United States at the White House.
On a rainy day in Washington, D.C., a select group of water polo players met President Joe Biden, joining hundreds of other Team USA athletes who competed in the Olympics and Paralympics this summer in Paris.
Jovana Sekulic, Emily Ausmus, Jordan Raney, and Marko Vavic were accompanied by reserve player Ella Woodhead during the celebrations.

The USA men’s national team secured its first Olympic medal in 16 years, defeating Hungary in a dramatic penalty shootout to win bronze. Meanwhile, the USA women’s team, three-time reigning Olympic champions, fell just short of the podium, finishing 4th—below their usual high standards.
The White House appears to have a keen interest in its water polo teams, as First Lady Jill Biden was spotted attending the USA women’s opening group-stage match against Greece during the Paris Olympics.
