Jadran Split Transfer News: Matković linked, three players departing

Croatian champions Jadran Split have yet to officially announce any new signings ahead of the 2025/26 season. However, speculation is growing that Dušan Matković, a key player for the Montenegrin national team, could be the club’s first addition.

Matković on the Radar

The 26-year-old Matković began his career with Primorac Kotor before moving to Atlètic-Barceloneta in 2022. In Spain, he won a Champions League bronze medal before transferring to Noisy-le-Sec in France. After Noisy’s sudden withdrawal from the French Elite League due to budget cuts, Matković returned to Primorac last summer. A national team regular since 2019, Matković is now tipped to strengthen Jadran’s right side.

Confirmed Departures from Jadran Split

While Jadran’s incoming transfers remain unconfirmed, the club has already seen several exits:

Čagalj and Zović—both born in Split—started their careers at local rival Mornar, not Jadran. Čagalj previously played for Mladost, Jadran Herceg Novi, and Spandau 04, joining Jadran in the 2021/22 season.

Zović, a left-hander, had stints with Mladost Zagreb and Szolnok in Hungary. He rejoined Jadran Split in 2021 after a year abroad.

Both players have represented Croatia at junior and senior international competitions, and are now free agents heading into the summer.
